Joining a Teams Meeting
Modified on: Mon, Oct 24 2022 11:57 PMMicrosoft has updated the audio/video options before joining Teams meetings!
This update will help with:
- preventing feedback noise when multiple devices join in the same room.
- connecting to pre-installed audio devices in meeting rooms. (not available at all locations)
First, to the left, are video settings to activate your camera and background filters. Choose to modify.
Next, to the right, are audio settings. Choose “Computer audio” to use your current setup. You can also modify by clicking the button.
Choose “Phone audio” to provide a number to join. This is very helpful to those that don’t have audio devices on their computers.
Choose the “Don’t use audio” option when another microphone/speaker is active in the room. (This prevents that pesky feedback noise!)
- Use this option when you only need to share a screen on a personal device.
- If you choose to not use audio, you can always reactivate by clicking the button.
